April 16th - 18th Garden Faire in Abingdon, VA. Come for one day or all three. This is the mecca for garden lovers of all kinds. May 1st- Scarbourough Faire in Roanoke. The Herb Society of South Western VA. puts on this garden show.It will be held at Virgina Western Community College in the Arboretum area. I will be speaking on "Attracting butterflies to your garden using herbs" ( what else?). Make sure you bring your coupon for a free plant from our booth- No coupon ? Be sure to sign up for our newsletter.
May 15th Herb Thyme/Spring Thymefrom 10-5-Join us for a Spring wildflower and nature hike, learn to cook, plant, grow and use herbs and perennials; herbal goodies to taste and herbal tea too. All activities are FREE. Plants will be available for Spring planting. The shop contains our herbal bath line-soaps, lotions, flowers and dried seasoning blends.
June 20-June 26 national Pollination Week- lots going on this week
June 26th Lavender Thyme-If you love lavender this is for you! Join us for a special day of Lavender in the gardens. Take a garden tour and cut your own bunch of Lavender,learn to grow, use and cook with Lavender in the afternoon. All activities are FREE. An Herbal Lavender lunch is available $9.50 each. Registration required for luncheon. The shop will be filled with Lavender Sachets, lotions, sprays and dried Lavender. Organic herbs and perennial plants are for sale. Fourteen types of Lavender plants will be available for planting.
